Why read this
In our times, and to be honest at any given moment in history, development has been hugely influenced by humans' ability to communicate, influence and align their vision and resources with other key people in a certain society. The book is an easy read, with good stories and simple yet super powerful principles on dealing with people and creating meaningful relationships, being it in business or daily routines and situations.
Funny. This book was my come-back to using audible app, which I love now but haveve been testing and abandoned in 2014. Amazon did some nice improvements to Audible and it was brought up to my attention by a friend (after I've seen ads all over BART trains in San Francisco). This happened at the same time as I looked into the opportunity of working with Buffer team, where this book is a must read. So I did get the app and bought "How to win friends and influence people" by using one of the 2 free credits that came with Audible free trial.
At first, this book is a typical american self-help style works, which is easy to read, follow thought and sometimes fluffy, yet the principles and stories shared by the Dale Carnegie are super relevant even 80 years after the first release. A summary of this books' principles where serving as my desktop wallpaper for a while.
